Arab American National Museum - Yemeni Community Reception

The AANM’s freshly updated Yemeni exhibits came to life last week when several Yemeni Americans whose stories are now told at the Museum attended a reception in honor of the new displays. Among those on hand for the debut were (from left) Ali Baleed Almaklani (vice president, ACCESS Executive Committee and president, Yemeni American Benevolent Association); noted surgeon Dr. Rashid Abdu; and Sgt. Jamal Baadani of the U.S. Marines, whose accomplishments are now all chronicled in the Coming To America, Living In America and Making An Impact exhibits. The AANM updated the exhibits in response to input from the Yemeni community following the Museum’s 2005 opening.  To view more pictures and view Bridges TV News: http://www.apaam.org/Museum_Jamal_Jul07.htm  -  July 6th, 2007
