I'm Ali S. Kadi, I was born in Youngstown, Ohio USA in the 1960's. My father Immigrated to the United States in the early 50's from Guban, Yemen. I graduated from East High School in 1984 and joined the Navy just months after graduation. I currently live and serve our country in an overseas environment. Joining the United States Navy is an honor and long term dream of mine. Since graduating from High School, my objective was in serving my country with Honor, Courage and Commitment. And in always being there in times of need and comfort. For the last 22 years, the Navy has been an excellent place to live, learn and enjoy life. As an Arab-American I am proud to be serving in the United States Navy. It is truely an honor! There is nothing in the world I would rather do than serve America in the United States Navy.

Accomplishements: Over a period of 22 years, I served onboard USS Midway, USS Independence (two tours), USS Kitty Hawk, ATKRON One One Five, ATKRON One Five Five, NAS Barbers Point, NAS Whidbey Island, FISC Yokosuka Japan and Fort Huachuca Arizona. I was recognized as Sailor of the Year/QTR/Month/Day on numerous occasions, received numerous campaign and expeditionary Medals and over 10 personal Achievement/Commandation Medals. My plan after the Navy is in assisting our Fellow Americans in understanding their citizens, specifically Arab-Americans. We have a responsibility in ensuring the lines communication among Americans remain open and the bridge that links this communication is always accessible to all who which to cross it with Full Speed Ahead.....we have a lot to do.
